Summary
TidyCrop is a browser-based photo tool. All cropping, resizing, compression, conversion, and print-sheet work happens locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or receive your photos.
Like many free websites, TidyCrop displays third-party advertisements through Google AdSense to help keep the service free. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies as described below. Your photo files are never shared with advertisers.
Photo and file data
TidyCrop does not collect or transmit the following from the photo editor to TidyCrop servers:
- Photos or image files you open in the tool
- File names, metadata, or export settings (shown in your browser only while you use the tool)
- Account information — no sign-up or login is required
How processing works
When you choose a photo, it is read into your browser's memory and processed with standard web APIs (such as the Canvas API). Exported files are saved directly to your device through your browser's download mechanism. Nothing is sent to TidyCrop servers because TidyCrop does not operate photo-processing servers for this tool.
Website and network requests
Loading TidyCrop may request HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and other static assets from our hosting provider or content delivery network (currently Cloudflare). Those providers may log standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page or file, and timestamps. TidyCrop does not receive your photos through those requests.
TidyCrop loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which may cause your browser to request font files from Google's servers. Google may receive your IP address when those font files are fetched. TidyCrop uses Google AdSense for advertising. Google and its partners may make additional network requests and may set or read cookies in your browser. None of those site-level requests include your photo files or image-editing data.
Advertising
TidyCrop uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC, to serve and measure third-party ads and help keep the service free. Your photo files are never included in ad requests. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits, measure ad performance, and detect invalid ad activity.
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), we obtain your consent before using cookies or similar technologies for advertising purposes.
Cookies and similar technologies
TidyCrop itself does not use cookies or local storage to track your photo-editing activity. Third parties such as Google AdSense may set or read cookies, pixels, and similar technologies in your browser to serve and measure advertisements. Your browser may also cache static site assets according to its normal behavior.
Your privacy choices
You can manage cookie and ad preferences on TidyCrop and through the services below:
- Use the Privacy choices link in the site footer to reopen Google's consent dialog
- Google Ads Settings
- aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out)
- networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative opt-out)
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies may result in less relevant ads but will not affect TidyCrop's photo-editing features.
Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to object to processing or withdraw consent. Because TidyCrop does not operate accounts and does not receive your photos, we generally do not hold personal photo data. Requests relating to advertising data may need to be directed to Google using the opt-out links above.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children's privacy
TidyCrop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the method below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of TidyCrop after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
